GP 150 - 9/9/17 - Ben Bowles

What was the shoot?

Gorilla Position 150- London Podcast Festival @ Kings Place London

Best part

Having the best seat in the house for the show! GP is the biggest wrestling podcast in the UK and the live show brought together it's likable hosts, in jokes and inclusive spirit to headline the London Podcast Festival. Shooting a show like this is so such fun. My aim for the shots was to capture the atmosphere and vibe created by the GP crew.

Shooting conditions

A game of two halves (cliché for GP presenter Matt there). As usual for an event like this, the stage was well lit giving a really nice 'pop' and contrast to the stage shots. The audience however were totally dark so to capture the crowd shots meant the ISO needed to be raised.

Favourite shot

GP live gave the punters a great end to the night by staging a stunt befitting of the WWE brand it discusses. Bruiserweight champion and special guest Pete Dunne double crossed the newly crowned GP champion host James Delow, passed him onto co hosts Skillit and Matt Davies who promptly threw James off the stage and through a table. Chants of "holy shit" rang around the rafters of Kings Place as James crawled backstage. An epic end to an epic show.
