If you're looking at producing a business video for your brand, there are lots of things to consider. The style, the messaging, the environment, who's going to talk on camera, what you're going to say on camera and how you're going to say it - the list is nearly endless! Now of course the videographer can help and guide with alot of those, but the most essential question to tackle is.....*drumroll* 'why am I creating this video'?

Once you have answered this - everything is more simple.


For example if you want to create a video to sell a specific product - everything from the wording to the visuals can be focussed on the benefits of said product. If you're looking to produce a brand awareness film - the content will be more narrative aimed at getting a sense of why you do what you do and how you do it.

From music, to shot choices, to graphics, to audio content to what equipment we use. By starting with the final question 'why am I making this?' you can begin to reverse engineer the project to ensure everybody is on the same page.


In my humble opinion - 75% of a successful shoot rests on the pre planning. So if you're thinking of creating a brilliant, all singing all dancing business video - make sure you get the planning meeting in and ANSWER THAT QUESTION!.
