It's not every weekend you spend your time shooting a festival containing headline acts such as Faithless, Feeder and The Libertines. But thankfully, this was one of those weekends. The Wheels and Fins festival has been steadily building over the last few years but this one took it onto a new level with 3 solid days of music and extreme sports.

For me, a highlight of the weekend was Cast front man, John Power. He rattled off old and new songs with real joy - one man, a guitar, a sunny festival and great tunes has a glorious simplicity to it. Headlining the 2nd day was Welsh rock veterans Feeder. With a back catalogue of hits, they rattled off banger after banger and had the crowd in the palm of their hand. Another great part of the weekend was of course, the Libertines. The whole festival was built around the Margate natives set and Sunday was buzzing from the get go. In true Libertines style, they set up a stall with free tatoos, gave away neck ties and sold a shed load of the new Margate FC shirts- who they've sponsored this year. Being in the pit before they came on was an absolute privilege. The atmosphere was electric and as soon as the crowd got a glimpse of Pete and co, the festival irrupted! The set was a fitting finale to an incredible 3 days.
Huge congratulations go to Dave, Dan and the whole team for putting on a festival of such proportions. Plans are already being put in place for next years festival so you can follow the progress on Insta @wheelsandfins and on Twitter @wheelsandfinsuk
